EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES

Stabling – internal stabling in the barn available for up to eight horses – rubber matting with Easibed bedding.

We normally have homegrown haylage in small bales available by arrangement.

Turnout, when available, is in post and rail paddocks off wood chip surfaced yards with field shelters.

All horse accommodation is on a DIY basis and at owner's risk. All horses must be wormed and vaccinations up to date.

RIDING

Outriding from the farm is varied and consists of a good network of quiet lanes, bridleways, forestry and open hills – access from our farm is straight onto the Cambrian Mountains – which offers access to 16,500 acres of open hills with spectacular views – accompanied by buzzards and red kites soaring overhead and the sweet songs of the skylarks.

Small herds of mountain ponies are sometimes encountered. Often hares can be seen racing over the short mountain turf and of course a lot of sheep! We can offer accompanied riding by arrangement – we especially recommend this for those intending to ride on the open hills as there are no way-marked routes on the hills. Compass and map-reading skills are essential for safe riding on the hills.

There is a large round pen with woodchip surface available to exercise /school in.
